Created from just one family's donation in 1984, Anacortes Schools Foundation now manages more than $1.1 million in assets and distributes more than $60,000 in annual scholarships. Originally known as the Fidalgo Island Educational Youth Foundation, Anacortes Schools Foundation's mission is to:

• Grant scholarship awards to students,
• Assist educators in their professional development, and
• Support educational programs in the Anacortes School District.

The Anacortes Schools Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer organization working independently of the school district for the benefit of our students, educators, and community. While ASF focuses primarily on scholarships, we're expanding our efforts to include fundraising. We are committed to helping our schools address the needs of today and the challenges of tomorrow.
