The Anacortes Schools Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, federal ID No. 91-1263495. This means that almost all donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
Our needs are urgent and numerous. We have no paid staff. We use school district rooms and filing cabinets. Our board members are volunteers from many sections of the community whose passionate belief in education and the promise of our students drive us to work tirelessly on behalf of our youth.
We need and value your help. Here are the ways even a small donation can help:
Sponsor a field trip, a new piece of scientific or P.E. equipment, a fund for needy students to purchase gym shoes, athletic uniforms, school lunches or test fees for college entrance exams.
Begin or supplement a scholarship for the students who meet your qualifications. All scholarships posted on our web site welcome one-time or regular contributions. Some are in honor of or in memory of a member of our community; others target financial need, intellectual excellence or artistic talent. All of our annual scholarship grants in total meet only a fraction of the applicants’ needs.
If you wish, designate your contribution for “Foundation expenses” and we promise to spend your donation wisely and where the need is greatest.
