The 2018 Fueling Education Fun Run & Walk, sponsored by Shell Puget Sound Refinery and benefitting Anacortes Schools Foundation is set for 10 AM on Sunday, September 16, 2018. This all-ages family event which brings together local industry and businesses, our city, the chamber of commerce and Anacortes Schools, to make it truly a community event. Dogs and strollers are welcome. Again the event will be held at Washington Park.

All donations will go to the Anacortes Schools Foundation to fund scholarships for graduating seniors, scholarships to pay for tuition for pre-K children in need and STEM enrichment programs. These grants and scholarships allow students the opportunity to achieve unlimited potential.

Awards

Top 3 Overall for both Male & Female will be awarded prizes: Shell Gas Cards for $100, $50, and $25 respectively. All finishers, including the kids race, will receive a custom race medal. There will be a prize for the fastest teacher in the Anacortes School District and a prize for the fastest Shell Puget Sound employee! And...Random draw prizes

Anacortes School District Grant Competition

Just like in 2017, a competition has been set up to attract the students, teachers, and administrators associated with schools in the Anacortes School District. The school with the highest percentage of their student body that participates in this race will be awarded a grant, from Shell Puget Sound Refinery, of $5000 to benefit that school!

The ONLY way to count is to be there on race day and participate. The race is free to students in ASD, please use the coupon code for your school on your registration.
