Scholarships

The Anacortes Schools Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that grants scholarships and awards to students and graduates of the Anacortes school District. The Foundation was formed in 1984 to promote student achievement.

Scholarships are possible thanks to endowments and gifts made to the Foundation. In 2006, over $53,000 in ASF scholarships was given to 38 recipients. In 2007, available scholarships exceed $63,000.

Recipients of scholarships from the Anacortes Schools Foundation are encouraged to contribute to the fund when they become financially capable so that others may also receive benefits to continue their education.

Endowments

Permanent charitable donations or ‘endowments’ are a means for donors to effectively support educational excellence in the School District and leave a lasting legacy in the community.
