"I just wanted to thank you all again for your generosity in granting me a scholarship. I so very appreciate it. I have survived my first quarter! I really enjoyed the classes I took, have made lots of new friends and even made it into an elite a' cappella singing group!"

Don J. Sorensen Sr. passed away on Dec. 12, 2010 after a short, but courageous battle with angio sarcoma bone cancer of the spine. The quality of his life as he battled the cancer that robbed him of the use of his legs was greatly improved by the diligent efforts of he and his physical therapist. His physical therapist taught him skills that brought him independence and dignity. This scholarship is provided by his son and daughter-in-law as a memorial to him. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist a physical therapy (PT) student with the costs associated with obtaining their education and training.
