- EXECUTIVE MESSAGE
Also this month we launch our annual campaign, which gives you the opportunity to double your impact. When you give to ASF, your dollar will be matched up to $5000 through June 15th, thanks to an anonymous donor who has a heart for supporting our students through arts enrichment. You can designate your giving as well: STEM, CTE, mental health, arts, early learning…or simply give to “Where Most Needed.”
As spring dots our island with tulips, bleeding hearts and peonies, and paints wildflowers on the crests of Sugarloaf, students continue to experience the color of wonder and the vibrancy of hands-on learning through field trips funded in part or entirely by ASF: Padilla Bay Interpretive Center, Island Adventures, Friends of the ACFL, and Outdoor School just to name a few. These incredible opportunities are only possible through the donations we receive from you. Thank you.
Recently, Mt Erie Elementary used some of its School Block Grant funding to purchase sensory materials that support students' social-emotional learning. MTSS teacher Kelsey Swapp writes,
“Students are using these resources in a variety of ways—to regulate emotions, refocus their attention, and take meaningful breaks so they can return to learning ready to succeed. Your generosity is already making a noticeable difference in helping our students feel supported, calm, and ready to learn. Thank you.”
Like new buds springing up around us, the growth of our students takes nurturing. Students, like flowers, require feeding, time and care. ASF strives to help students grow by enriching their learning through experiences the district’s budget cannot support. Your donations nourish and feed our students’ sense of wonder and curiosity.
Please visit our website to learn more about the programswe support, to find our scholarship application, or to givein one of a variety of ways.
