February 2026

Love is in the air this month. Almost more than anything, ASF loves to allocate our funds. Each year, we distribute what we earned through our fundraisers and generous donations to the areas our mission supports: CTE, STEM, the arts, early learning, and mental health. Within each of these areas are programs, field trips, curriculum or grant positions that the district simply cannot support.

We are thrilled to announce that at our February board meeting, we allocated roughly $579,750 to support enrichment programs that will inspire and empower Anacortes students. This continues to be our mission, and it guides us in everything we do: inviting community investment, fostering supportive partnerships, celebrating connections through special events and thoughtfully stewarding the resources entrusted to us by donors.

One example of how we support students is by offering arts enrichment through the Local Artists in Schools (LAIS) program. Here are a few shots of ceramics artist Jen Chambliss, sponsored by ASF, working with some first graders, whose classroom learning was inspired even more by the tactile activity.

This month we also show love for our sponsors whose contributions directly support Anacortes students. Thank you. And as always, thank you to our donors who follow their own hearts in their giving.
