Celebrate the Season Gala

Holiday Family Fair

December 9-10, 2023

Each December, ASF hosts Celebrate the Season, a series of holiday events at the Port of Anacortes where hundreds of elves create a magical winter wonderland complete with Santa's House, Mrs. Claus's Kitchen, beautifully decorated trees and thousands of lights.

Gala Fundraiser Dinner

The Celebrate the Season Gala Fundraiser Dinner is ASF's biggest fundraiser of the year and features an online and live auction, live entertainment, an exquisite dinner and our Raise the Paddle. Tickets go on sale each November.

ASF continues to support scholarships, early learning, enrichment for STEM (including field trips and hands-on classroom experiences), the arts, vocational, career and technical programs, Impact and other summer learning and more.

The need for the 2022-23 school year is truly greater than ever. We know that students are still dealing with the issues caused by the pandemic and we are proud to be one of the only school foundations in the state to fund mental health at every grade level. This happened because of your support last year. We realize that mental health will be an ongoing need and ASF will continue supporting these critical programs.

We also know that a "Back to Basics" approach and support for literacy programs and STEM enrichment is critical at this moment. Reading, math, and science levels are lower than pre-pandemic levels and you can help correct that.

We are celebrating our 10th anniversary of Celebrate the Season with this year's theme "A Storybook Holiday." Please consider joining us as a 2023 Celebrate the Season sponsor and helping us write the next chapter of support for Anacortes schools.

Holiday Family Fair

The Holiday Family Fair is a joyous part of Celebrate the Season's festivities. Families can join us, FREE of charge, at the Port of Anacortes Transit Shed for a day of live performances - featuring Island View Elementary, Mt Erie Elementary and Fidalgo Elementary School Choirs, free crafts, free cookies, the cherished Student Marketplace (students keep 100% of the money earned from the sale of their items!) and, of course, free photos with Santa. The next day, the Fidalgo Island Rotary Club takes over the Port and hosts the annual Gingerbread Contest.
